Happy Birthday Momma!!

Back on July 23rd my mom had a birthday! I feel terrible that I haven't posted until now but I wanted to make sure that my mom knows how much I love her and look up to her.

Luckily, we were able to celebrate together and go to lunch and shop. That night my family came over and we had one of my moms favorite dinners...scones and cheese sauce. We topped the day off with fireworks at night.

My mom truly is one of the greatest people I know. She is the most giving, selfless and caring mom I could ever ask for. She has showed me how important family is. She was lucky enough to stay at home while I was growing up and has never missed a big or small moment in my life. She has kept our family so close and helped us learn to love spending time with each other. She's the worlds best grandma. And she is such a beautiful lady. I truly would thank my lucky stars of I can be anything like her and I'm so grateful my father in heaven gave me my wonderful mom!

Happy Birthday Mom! I love you!

3 Year Old Ute Fanatic

On July 25th it was our cute niece, Lucy's, birthday. She turned 3!

When I called her to sing and wish her Happy Birthday, I said she was the cutest 4 year old around...oops! The funny thing about that is she does act so much older than she actually is. She is adorable and unique. She never fails to crack us up! She has some of the best facial expressions I have ever seen and she truly is a sweetheart!

Lucy LOVES Utah! Her favorite outfit consists of something Utah, I think she may have as many shirts and I do.

She loves the games and pays close attention.

When it was her day to get to go with me and her Grandpa she requested that we didn't take her to the Disney store like her older sister, Emma, but rather go to the Utah bookstore.

She got so many cute Utah clothes including her own Utah Football Jersey! She came out one girl!

(Notice she had to change outfits to wear some of her new clothes)

After shopping Lucy wanted to go to Litza's for dinner because that is want we always do before or after Utah games!

That Saturday Lucy wanted her birthday party to be a ALL UTAH party. Everyone had to wear something Utah and we want the Utah fight song instead of happy birthday!

Here's some picture from the fun party!

Max Howard May

Check this little boy out!

My oldest brother, Jeff, and his wife, Melinda had this bundle of life come to their family on July 8th. His name is Max Howard May. Howard is a great middle name, it's my dad's middle name and my grandpa's (mom's dad) first name.

We are thrilled he's part of our family and I love him to pieces already!! :)

7 year old beauty!

On Tuesday, June 25th, it was our sweet niece Emma's 7th birthday! It's hard to remember a life without her!

Some of the MANY things we love about Emma is that she is smart ( I mean brilliant for a 7 year old ), she always keeps us laughing, she's a great big sister and a wonderful friend. She loves her family and her Heavenly Father.

While Em and I are 16 years apart she truly is one of my best buds! Our family never fails to remind us just how similar her and I are.

For her birthday present she requested that Gammy and I take her to lunch and shopping, cute I know! We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch, got her a fun tangled Barbie doll and nightgown and the Disney store and went to RUUM to get clothes.

It was so much fun to sped quality time with her. She's lucky to have the great parents that she does and that have helped her become such a wonderful girl!

We love you Emma! Happy Birthday!!

The Latest and Greatest

So one time I started a blog and I haven't kept up with it recently. Here's an preview / update I'd the latest and greatest in out lives.

Back in April we attended the annual Red and White game. It's always so fun to go watch the Utes but what I love even more is how much everyone in our May family loves it!! Our cute niece has even decided she wants a Utah themed bday party. We can't wait until football season!

Next, Tristan and I had the great opportunity to go back and visit his mission for 10 whole days!! While we nth said we didn't feel like we had enough we loved every minute we spent there. I know how special this wonderful state of Washington is to Tristan's and so I w as excited to experience this with him. We started off our trip and spent two days in Seattle to see the tourist sites and enjoy some down time. On Saturday we headed up into Tristan's mission area where we spent time with a lot of wonderful families!! We visited and are until we couldn't hold any more. I LOVED the authentic Mexican food, my favorites included tacos de papas, mole and sopas! While we were in Washington we also did some sight seeing including kayak point and the Boeing factory. Tristan's sweet Uncle Jeff and Aunt Suzanne were so hospitable and invited us to their beautiful home on Friday Harbor so we enjoyed the weekend out on the San Juan islands. Here's lots of pics.....

Our Baby Named Sadie

I can't believe I waited this but we finally did it, we got a puppy! Her name is Sadie, she's a Bernese Mountain dog and is currently 8 weeks old. She is full of life and loves to play but when they days over she's our cuddle bug! We already take her everywhere we go. We love her to pieces!!

Simple Moments

I love the month of April!

Spring is one of the best seasons in my opinion because I love the rebirth of the flowers and plants, I love seeing the blue sky and the nice green grass! I love feeling the sun on my arms and legs!

I've thought a lot lately about the simple things I LOVE but don't take the time to enjoy and rush through the day so quickly....

-Hearing the birds chirp while I walk into work
-The sound of rain while I lay in bed and fall asleep
-Attending soccer games on both families and seeing my sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews smile when they or their team score!
-Laughing so hard that your stomach hurts about something silly
-Being able to talk whenever and about whatever I want to my mom and dad
-Hearing stories from grandparent-in-laws
-Sitting in my in-laws family room with everyone home and enjoying quality time
-MOST OF ALL spending free time with my husband who I adore!

I feel so lucky to have such great people around me and especially for those who teach me to enjoy these simple yet special moments!
