First Week Back To Reality
As of yesterday we've been married two weeks, it's crazy to think about. As Tristan and I were driving into work this past week we both mentioned that married life seems to be just right. The first week seemed as if we were playing house but now that we've settled into our daily lives it's been so fun coming home to each other and looking forward to the quality time we get to spend together! We spent the past week moving things around spending some time with our family. Last night we had a fun night at Pizza Factory and playing Fifa and tonight relaxing with two other great friend! Can't wait for another week and we're looking forward to Labor Day and most of all the upcoming UTAH game this week!
We'll sign off by saying.....GO UTES!

Team Leader
Just a little note to say I'm SO proud of my cute husband for getting a promotion already at work! He's such a hard worker and rarely gives himself much credit but I will always be happy to do the bragging for him. Congrats Tristan!

The Beginning
This is our new beginning in many ways but most of all and most importantly is our new life together.
It's hard to believe we've finally arrived in a way, it's been a long time coming.
After five years of dating and numerous ups and downs, we couldn't be happier to be together forever now!
We were married on August 10th, 2012.
Honestly, the day could not have gone ANY better. I was anticipating some bump or hiccup that day but there was none to be found. As my husband might would be happy to tell you I am one that stresses and exaggerates problems that arise during a big events. Therefore, I am not just looking back on this day fondly and only remembering the good times but I can truly say it was the wedding day of our dreams.
That morning was an early one as I got my hair and makeup done and Tristan finished some last minute details. We meet at the Bountiful Temple at 10:15 and were married at 11:15. The ceremony was beautiful and could not have been better and we had all our close friends and family there which made it even better. I even had a rush of emotion when I felt my late Grandpa wasn't too far away.
The rest of the afternoon was filled with picture taking and last minute packing.
Later we had an intimate dinner with close family and friend which exceeded my many dreams of a perfect wedding day. The weather was perfect, the wedding party attire was adorable, the food was fantastic and the flowers were breathtaking. Even better we had our loved ones in one room together to celebrate an unforgettable night.
The next day we jetted off to Cancun, Mexico for our week honeymoon and we loved every minute of it!
The weather was HOT and HUMID so we bummed around at the pool and at the beach the majority of our stay and enjoyed numerous delicious dishes.
We arrived home on August 19th and went right back into reality yesterday.
We are now both back at work and Tristan is back in school.
While it has been hard adjusting back to "real life" I feel so lucky that my "real life" is greater than I could have wished for.
I feel so blessed and so lucky to have THE MOST supportive family in the entire world. My brothers have been my partner's in crime, they been my best friends and the ones to push me and show me that hard work isn't all that bad and I love them dearly for that. Their wives, my sisters, are the best support group. They were there at every shower and helped with anything I needed. Our nieces and nephews: Emma, Riley, Thomas, Russell, Lucy and COMING SOON Jack are the cutest kids in the entire world! And no I am not biased. They were my little buddies always making sure my wedding dress never touched the ground.
To the most influential people in my life, my mom and dad, thank you! You not only made my wishes come true on my wedding day but my whole life through. They are my best friend, the ones I look to for guidance and laughter and the ones I aspire to be. They have always been there and have taught me how to be a good sister, daughter, aunt and now wife and one day mother. I hope to implement what they have taught me.
We are both so lucky to have great in-laws and I'm happy to saw I have felt like part of their family for quite sometime. Tristan's parents are wonderful people and one's who I love to be around and spend quality time together and I am grateful we have them to help us through life. And my three new sisters, I love to pieces!
And lastly, to my new husband who I love with all my heart. I feel so lucky to have married my best friend and someone that I can laugh with or sit quietly and do nothing but still have the best time! Thank you for making my new journey so great so far! I look forward to spending eternity with you and hope to make you as happy as you make me.
